Garden – with picnic table and badminton net. (Please note there are some steps in the garden and small children will require supervision).

Nearest beaches - Rose Cottage sits on a hill above several beaches on Salcombe estuary.

Small's Cove - 500m by foot (down steps), or limited parking by the Old Stable Cafe (formerly the Venus Café)(3 mins drive).

Mill Bay - 1,000m by foot (down sloped footpath and quiet road), or use National Trust car park (free to members, £7.50 per day non-members, 5 mins drive)

Sunny Cove - 500m walk from Mill Bay (not accessible by car)
Rose Cottage sits in a quiet spot down a private lane adjacent to White Cottage and behind the row of houses containing Bow Cottage, Godolphin and Hill Crest.
Please note:
1 - East Portlemouth is accessed via some narrow country lanes.
2 - Rose Cottage is 70metres above sea level. It's an easy walk down to the beach/ferry to Salcombe but harder work coming back up hill.
3 - NO smoking or vaping. Smoking/vaping is not allowed at the property.
4 - Not suitable for wheel chairs - Part of Rose Cottage dates from the 1870's and some of the doorways are narrow, also there are steps into the property making the house impractical for wheel chairs.
5 - Sorry, no dogs (our insurers will not cover us for pets staying at the property)
6 - Private parking gate width limit 2.23m - ok for cars but not SUVs. On street parking 20m from property.
